2011 - 2012 Volunteers' News
Volunteers' Christmas Lunch
After an absence of a few years, the Volunteers' Christmas Lunch
was re-initiated on Wednesday 7 December 2011 in the Norfolk Arms Hotel, and
about 18 volunteers sat down to a meal in the Arun Restaurant at the Hotel.
|
The event was organised by our Volunteers Co-ordinator, Diane
Pyant, who unfortunately was unable to attend due to illness, but she was toasted
in her absence for her energetic and tireless support for the volunteers.
This was a great opportunity for volunteers to meet and discuss
their own areas of interest, especially at this time when all is underway with
the New Museum, when interest and fund-raising for the Museum must be kept up,
and when Arundel Museum Society has relocated in Crown Yard Mews and taken over
the role of providing tourist information for the Arundel area to the general
public.
If there is sufficient support, it has been suggested that a
volunteers' meal might become a bi-annual feature of the Society. This
might take the form of a picnic in the summer months.
